2022

2018
The Assembly started having services in a Tent and would do so for the next six years.
2016
The property on Duhon Rd was flooded during the event of the 2016 flood.
1999
Bishop Broussard passed away to be with the Lord in October 1999 but not before anointing Bro. S.D. Schwing to fill his shoes as Pastor of Lafayette’s First Apostolic Church. Under Bro. Schwing’s pastorship, the Church has continued steadfastly, grown and prospered.
1993
Church school was established “Eagle Christian Academy” which came to be known as “Apostolic Christian School (ACS)” in 1993.
1980-1990s
Church growth continued as the assembly continued steadfastly in the Apostle’s Doctrine. Bishop Broussard ordained Pastors to continue works throughout the surrounding areas. As a result, many daughter-works came out of the Lafayette church and churches were established in the surrounding towns of New Iberia, Opelousas, Abbeville, Jennings, Saint Martinville, and Carencro.
1978 – Duhon Rd
As the Church grew and prospered, land was purchased and a new church was built in 1978.
1971 – Lana Drive
In 1971, Bro. and Sis. J.H. Broussard came to Lafayette with a burden for the people of the city to hear the Word of God and experience His saving power and grace. Through dedication and relentless effort, a church was established in a small living room in their humble home on Lana Drive. It was prophesied that the sanctuary had “wall to wall” carpet, but God was going to fill it with “wall to wall” souls. Back to Timeline
